The Fort Mill Lakers program has merged with the Cardinals League. Players from South Carolina will follow the Cardinals schedule, train at Elon Park, and may be placed on mixed teams, although we’ll make every effort to group players by school or location.

Position Playing Policy

  • 1st-4th Grade:

    • Players will rotate through all positions in practices and games (midfield, defense, attack, face-offs, and goalie). In games, all players from both teams will rotate positions every 4 minutes.

    • This ensures proper development and prevents early specialization, which can hinder growth and understanding of the game.

  • 5th-8th Grade: There will be no rotation rules in playing positions but players will be encouraged to try different positions.

Game Formats

  • 1st/2nd Grade: 7v7 on small goals for fast-paced development.

  • 3rd/4th Grade and Older: Full-field play with big goals for a more advanced game experience.

Full Equipment Required:

  • Helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and stick.

  • Rental Equipment Available: First come, first serve. Discounted equipment purchase options also available.
